Amazon Prime Day 2020: The 37 Absolute Best Tech Deals

As the company begins its biggest shopping holiday of the year, it can be tough to navigate the 80,000+ deals available, as well as those from competitors like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. WIRED's Gear team has been wading through it all, searching for the best deals on products we actually like. We've included a few of our favorites here, but read our roundup of the best Amazon device deals for more.Kindle Paperwhite for $80 ($50 off): The Paperwhite is our favorite Kindle for most people, because it's got a better display than the base model and is IPX8 rated for water resistance, which means you don't have to be worried about taking it in the tub.Kindle Kid's Edition $75 ($35 off): The new Kid's Edition Kindle is a solid ebook reader. This deal is on the 32-gigabyte model with ads.Fire HD 8 Kids Edition for $80 ($60 off): We've always thought Amazon's kid tablets were a bargain, with a rugged case and a very generous two-year worry-free guarantee. It's a solid buy at this discount, but you'll want to act fast—Google has discontinued the phone, so stock is limited.Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G (Unlocked) for $750 ($250 off): The latest Note phones are pretty great, but one knock WIRED senior associate editor Julian Chokkattu had was the price. Now that the standard Note 20 can be had for $800, it's worth considering if you're in the market for a phone with a stylus.Samsung Galaxy S20 5G (Unlocked) for $750 ($250 off): Another great Samsung phone worth checking out is the Galaxy S20, which is one of the absolute best Android phones you can buy right now.Samsung Galaxy A71 5G Phone (Unlocked) for $420 ($180 off): The A71 delivers good performance and a full day of battery life, plus a fantastic screen. It works with HD or 4K HDR televisions and has dual-band Wi-Fi that has a longer range, but you'll want to check the back of your TV first to make sure your HDMI ports allow for a 4-inch object to stick straight out of them—an occasional hiccup for some.Bose QuietComfort 35 II Noise-Canceling Headphones for $199 ($143 off): Bose's previous flagship noise-canceling headphones are seriously cheap this Prime Day, making now a great time to grab a pair to quiet the noises of the world around you (and to sound better on all those Zoom calls, thanks to onboard mics).Sony WHCH710N Noise-Canceling Headphones for $88 ($108 off): They're not quite as great as the WH-1000XM4 (the best wireless headphones right now), but this more affordable pair of noise-canceling headphones from Sony boasts much of the same tech, and are steeply discounted.Sony WHXB900N Noise-Canceling Headphones for $123 ($123 off): Sony's WHXB900N have slightly better sound and noise-canceling tech than the pair listed above, and they're about half off.
