Speaking with Fox News' Sean Hannity on Thursday, TV doctor Mehmet Oz ignited a social media firestorm by saying that reopening America's schools presented an "appetizing opportunity" because it might only kill 2% to 3% of the population. And you know, any life is a life lost, but to get every child back into a school where they're safely being educated and being fed and making the most out of their lives with a theoretical risk on the backside, it might be a tradeoff some folks would consider."The population of the United States is just over 328 million, so to lose 2-3% of the population would mean anywhere between 6.56 million and 9.84 million deaths. How much are YOUR kids worth, #DrOz?https://t.co/YussS7a3KEOn Thursday evening, Dr. Oz posted a video to Twitter responding to the criticism, and wrote: "I've realized my comments on risks around opening schools have confused and upset people, which was never my intention.
